The therapeutic process is unique to each individual. Some people use therapy to overcome specific issues associated with life transitions. Others use it to manage the symptoms of life long symptoms associated with bipolar disorder or obsessive compulsive disorder. While still others find it an integral part of their self care routine that allows them the space to process without having to manage the emotional reactions of other people.

Individual Therapy consists of 50-minute, one-on-one sessions that help you work through your concerns. In addition to listening, I will offer different perspectives to help you discover the best way through your struggles. The goals and strategies utilized in individual therapy differ according to each persons wants and needs. 

Here’s individual therapy will work, step-by-step:

1. First, we will meet for a 20-30 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit. If we are not, I will help you find someone who may be a better fit for you.

2. If we decided to work together we will decide on a meeting schedule that works best (weekly, biweekly, ect.,).

3. During our first few meetings we will go into more depth about your most pressing concerns and what you would like to get out of therapy. We will set specific goals that will guide our work together and we will revisit them frequently.

4. Therapy in a unique and dynamic process. Keeping your individual goals in mind, we’ll figure out what’s needed to help you reach them.

5. Over the course of our sessions, you will start making progress towards the life you desire!
